Founded in 1991, Dongwoo Fine Chem has grown into a leader in the electronic materials industry by successfully developing its own high purity drugs for semiconductors. Since then, it has entered the TFT-LCD material business, which is currently emerging as the next growth engine of the Korean economy, and established Dongwoo STI Co., Ltd. and Dongwoo Optical Film Co., Ltd. through a joint venture with Sumitomo Chemicals. The rapid growth of the LCD industry has led to a significant increase in demand every year, building a second/third plant through large-scale investments, and sales are expected to reach about 1 trillion won in 2004. As a result, Dongwoo Fine Chem is firmly establishing its unrivaled position in the information and electronics material industry. But our company is not satisfied with this. We are focusing on developing high-tech technologies through continuous R&D investment with the goal of becoming a global leader in the information and electronics materials industry, from semiconductors to advanced displays.
